Dziś na oficjalnym blogu zespołu SBS pojawiła się konkretna informacja o zawartości pakietu Windows Small Business Server 2008, nazwa kodowa Cougar oraz Windows Essential Business Server 2008 znanego jako Centro.
Windows Small Business Server 2008 jest oparty o Windows Server 2008 i zawiera:
- Windows Exchange Server 2007
- Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
- Enhanced Remote Web Workplace
- Roczna subskrybcja trial na Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server Small Business Edition
- Roczna subskrybcja trial na nowe Windows Live OneCare for Server
Ponadto SBS 2008 Premium będzie zawierał SQL Server 2008 oraz umożlwi uruchomienie Windows Server 2008 na dodatkowej maszynie.
Windows Essential Business Server 2008 jest oparty o Windows Server 2008 i zawiera:
- Exchange Server 2007
- Forefront Security for Exchange Server
- System Center Essentials 2007
- Nowa wersja Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA)
Windows Essential Business Server 2008 Premium Edition będzie zawierał SQL Server 2008.

Business Server 2008 jest zaprojektowany do jednostek posiadajacych do 50 użytkowników ale będzie mógł być użyty w organizacjach posiadających 75 użytkowników. Windows Small Business Server 2008 i Windows Essential Business Server 2008 będą pracować wyłącznie na platformie x64.
